Description


Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Lead and inspire the site HR team and connect them to the wider Dechra team, by being an Ambassador of the Dechra Values and drive the Dechra and site strategy, including the HR agenda.
  • Support the Site Director to drive better ways of working to add value to the business.
  • Develop site people plan, aligned to the five year Group plan. Ensure HR partnering at all levels.
  • Effective use of HR systems and implementation of group projects/systems.
  • Identify and lead change activities on site to maximise delivery of commercial and operational excellence.
  • Formulate site training, development and qualifications plan with management buy in, within budget to facilitate an effective operation.
  • Assess the effectiveness of current design and provide leadership in design/development of complex organisation.
  • Design, develop and lead site communications at all levels.
  • Manage talent and succession planning processing across the site.
  • Manage the PDR and pay review processes across the site, ensuring alignment within the group.
  • Develop site reward and recognition policy, aligned to group strategy.
  • Ensure effective recruitment and retention on site.
  • Set up, review right people KPI’s to drive the desired outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver site engagement and wellbeing plans.
  • Identify potential risk to the business, advise and mitigate to protect the business.
  • Coach managers to develop their people management competence.
  • Ensure effective employee relations advice and case management in line with group policies.
  • Proactively manage the Works Council site agenda to ensure maximum effectiveness for employees and the site.
Skills & Experience
  • Must have experience in a HR Business Partnering role with generalist skills.
  • Sound knowledge and application in reward, employee relations, talent, development, employee engagement and employment law.
  • Experience of handling Fast paced, delivery within a HR environment.
  • Works council/trade union experience.
  • Lateral thinker capable of delivering imaginative, pragmatic solutions with high commercial acumen.
  • Comfortable communicating in any small to medium size audience in an inspiring and credible way.
