Role Purpose This newly created role on a growing team is a dynamic opportunity for an ambitious individual to directly impact business growth at the world’s leading trademark & brand research company. The Business Development Executive will be responsible for selling CompuMark’s suite of trademark screening, searching, and watch solutions to corporate clients in many different industries. This role requires someone with an entrepreneurial zeal and creative flair to explore fresh ideas for finding client solutions and creating innovative campaigns. You will be seeking out new business, meeting clients, and securing large deals, as well as establishing and maintain good relationships with clients. The Business Development Executive will be a self-starter with the drive, commercial acumen and self-discipline to consistently hit sales targets and steadily grow your territories revenue. You will join an exclusive group of highly experienced CompuMark account managers who work as a true team and help each other grow. Responsibilities New Account Acquisition
  • Jointly prioritize assigned prospects with manager to drive time allocation and the need for account planning
  • Perform account planning for high-priority prospects, and consistently use account plans to drive account activity
  • Complete periodic internal account reviews for priority prospects, setting review frequency in line with account priority
  • Actively identify and pursue new logo opportunities (e.g., former customers, competitor customers, and new logo inbound leads), working closely with prospectors and leveraging multiple resources including SAEGIS database and data from Marketing
  • Build and develop relationships with relevant stakeholders, including decision-makers and influencers
  • Schedule, plan, and lead onsite client meetings, product demos, and negotiations for prospective clients when appropriate
  • Identify customer pain points and opportunities for all CompuMark offerings
  • Lead proposal development and negotiations with prospects, leveraging internal teams and resources to close opportunities
  • Build and manage sales pipeline
  • Oversee new customer onboarding and solution delivery
  • Update Salesforce.com regularly
  • Attend conferences and industry events as appropriate
Internal Coordination
  • Coordinate with designated outside sales account manager or strategic account manager to hand over new accounts
  • Communicate regularly with relevant account managers to share knowledge of accounts pursued (e.g., pursuing a corporation that is a client of an existing law firm client) and coordinate efforts accordingly
  • Engage solutions consultants and Watch consultants2 during sales process as needed
Scope and Impact:
  • Will be responsible for building a sales pipeline and closing business for new European accounts in the CompuMark business
Technical / Professional Skills & Competencies:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a quota carrying business development role
  • Business Conversation Fluency in English required
  • Business Conversation Fluency in French, Spanish, and/or Italian a plus
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required
  • Law Degree or Legal Experience a plus
