Main Purpose Of Job
Support acquisition and data conversion of Patent content from key global patent offices for Derwent First Level Data and other Clarivate Analytics patent products such as DWPI.
Liaise with Clarivate content experts across Europe, Asia and America to ensure the completeness, timeliness and quality of our content and products meet the needs of our customers.

Tasks And Duties
Technical specialist role supporting the Derwent Patent Data Conversion Team, acquiring and converting patent content from global patent offices in various data formats for use in Clarivate content curation and patent products.
Analyze and prepare patent documents for conversion using DTDs (Document Type Definition), in-house documentation and knowledge of the product requirements for all media formats.
Run conversion and translation programs, resolve errors and implement corrections to data both manually and by developing and executing programmatic routines.
Conduct comparative analysis of data and products required for conversion to markup languages (e.g., SGML, XML, or HTML) and apply markup expertise to existing and new products where appropriate.
Compose keying and tagging instructions for conversion in accordance with standards.
Recommend DTD changes as data dictates and assist with sample data testing for new or enhanced products
Assists with special projects relating to data tagging and standards as required and may assist in writing conversion programs.
Drive standardization and automation infrastructure for quality assessment including inspection of finished product quality.
Identify and resolve problems and initiate escalation of more complex issues to the appropriate groups to ensure content is delivered to production schedules.
Assists in creation of department/group documentation including reporting publication trends and key performance indicators.
Participate in meetings and presentations with the Clarivate IP and Standards teams across the globe, bringing content specialist knowledge to the discussion.
Respond to system and process queries from internal and external stakeholders including customer cases assigned by the Customer Service Desk, assist with analysis and query resolution, providing timely customer facing response.
Identify and implement process improvement, content and product enhancement opportunities as part of daily role or through participation in project teams.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to personal development, identifying training and developmental needs for yourself on an on-going basis.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager/director on a permanent or temporary basis.
Promote personal safety and taking reasonable care at work, by carrying out the requirements of the law or following recognised codes of practice provided or advised by management to ensure safe working practices
Knowledge, Skills, Experience :
Excellent written and oral communication skills in German
