Your role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Engineering/Reliability Manager to join the team based at our plant in Johor Bahru. On this role, you will report to the Plant Manager and lead a small team of 5 (direct subordinates), and almost 25 indirect reports comprising all maintenance personnel on site, both engineers and coordinators.

You will be responsible for leading relevant maintenance across the operation including machine and engineering to improve plant manufacturing performance. Plant maintenance and CAPEX budget will sit with you as well.

You will maintain a strong working relationship with production departments to collaboratively ensure plant safety, quality and performance outcomes are achieved. Additionally you will manage a range of projects including Capex programs, and be responsible for compliance with appropriate statutory requirements.

About you:

You will a tertiary qualified engineer from a relevant discipline (Mechanical or Electrical) with significant managerial experience in an Industrial Manufacturing environment. It is essential to have extensive experience managing large engineering departments, and be a leader of leaders with excellent collaboration, maintenance, resource-planning skills and most importantly, hold safety above all else.

Proven experience in a continuous manufacturing environment with any glass or similar heavy industrial background will be held in high regard.
