Qualifications
  • University degree in Business, Economics, or STEM related field
  • Strong interest in solving complex healthcare problems
  • Familiarity with the key trends and professional experience in Market Access is highly desired, however, not required
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and quantitative skills

Who You'll Work With You’ll work with our Pharmaceutical and Medical Products (PMP) Practice team specializing in Market Access in Waltham, Massachusetts or New York City. The Market Access focused team builds and operates tools that support senior executives in pharma and device manufacturers, for whom data-driven decision making and competitive intelligence are paramount. In close partnership with McKinsey’s traditional client service teams (CSTs), the PMP Practice team works directly with clients in Brand and Product Management and Commercial Operations to build and scale analytical approaches to addressing their most persistent priorities. The offerings are informed both by McKinsey’s longstanding client relationships and deep experience in the most successful PMP players, as well as by the data science, product development, and next-generation research methods of newer partners and senior leaders. What You'll Do Specializing in market access, you will develop analyses, keep up to date with industry developments and help our consultants - including analytics practitioners - provide data-driven insights to client problem solving. You will be working with McKinsey colleagues to scope business questions and understand, disaggregate, and prioritize their information needs in client engagements. You will leverage proprietary and third-party data and tools (analytical, industry-specific, and function-specific) to perform primary research and required analyses with the highest rigor and communicate insights and deliver end products to consulting teams in a variety of formats, including memos, PowerPoint presentations, tables. In addition, you will have the opportunity to learn any additional required knowledge and capabilities in US market access and the tools. You will be supporting initiatives to develop the latest industry knowledge, best practices, and relevant innovative ideas. You will monitor and codify knowledge and help support the continuous improvement of our team, innovating Firm knowledge and enabling client capabilities.
