Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable
  • Identify, evaluate and manage business opportunities/leads in securing sales pipeline in line with short- and long-term financial goals
  • Manage research/feasibility studies/market scan, evaluate findings and prepares information for decision-making
  • Manage the negotiation process. Prepare contracts, providing inputs on proper pricing and contract terms
  • Identify upselling opportunities and manage contract renegotiations with existing clients
  • Manage the improvement of current Business Development processes and cross-functional collaboration to drive effectiveness and minimize redundancy
  • Drive and coordinate activities related to Business Development workforce capability and client/customer data management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in identifying upselling opportunities, deal negotiations and finalization of contracts
  • Establish long-term relationships with potential clients/customers with the view to enhance business opportunities
Job Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Marketing or any other related field. Other qualifications related to the technical know-how work area (e.g. pharmacist, chemical, medical devices, etc.) will be considered
  • At least to have ten years’ experience in Healthcare/Pharmaceutical industry, especially in business development, sales, marketing and pharma product related work, etc
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a managerial capacity
  • Demonstrate business development experience in applying business development principles for medium-to large-sized companies in similar industries
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and business analysis skills
  • Demonstrate excellent skills in market research and audit
  • Proven client and customer account management skills
  • Able to manage global/regional/country level assignments and projects
  • Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross-country/-cultural interactions
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
