Manage departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable
Identify, evaluate and manage business opportunities/leads in securing sales pipeline in line with short- and long-term financial goals
Manage research/feasibility studies/market scan, evaluate findings and prepares information for decision-making
Manage the negotiation process. Prepare contracts, providing inputs on proper pricing and contract terms
Identify upselling opportunities and manage contract renegotiations with existing clients
Manage the improvement of current Business Development processes and cross-functional collaboration to drive effectiveness and minimize redundancy
Drive and coordinate activities related to Business Development workforce capability and client/customer data management
Collaborate with internal stakeholders in identifying upselling opportunities, deal negotiations and finalization of contracts
Establish long-term relationships with potential clients/customers with the view to enhance business opportunities
Job Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Marketing or any other related field. Other qualifications related to the technical know-how work area (e.g. pharmacist, chemical, medical devices, etc.) will be considered
At least to have ten years’ experience in Healthcare/Pharmaceutical industry, especially in business development, sales, marketing and pharma product related work, etc
Minimum of three years’ experience in a managerial capacity
Demonstrate business development experience in applying business development principles for medium-to large-sized companies in similar industries
Strong business acumen, analytical and business analysis skills
Demonstrate excellent skills in market research and audit
Proven client and customer account management skills
Able to manage global/regional/country level assignments and projects
Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross-country/-cultural interactions
