Skills and Experience Required:
  • Ideally a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) complimented by a proven career in executive-level sales
  • Possesses knowledge of key issues for the pharmaceutical industry and related businesses.
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills and be able to work both independently.
  • Experience identifying and closing new business opportunities and developing positive relationships at all levels of client management;
  • Must be revenue-driven, credible, a problem solver, customer focused, resourceful, organized, and an effective negotiator;
  • Must have experience delivering against sales targets;
  • Specific knowledge of the following domains, particularly as they relate to the Pharma market, is imperative:
  • Data, Data Management, Analytics or Reporting
  • Healthcare Data Analytics/SaaS
  • Data Science
Example Responsibilities:
  • Develop and drive Pharma sales opportunities to achieve or exceed growth & revenue targets through a sales approach that solves client business issues;
  • Proactively strengthens in-depth knowledge of product and its application within a client's enterprise;
  • Network and engage customers at all levels;
  • Creates and presents client proposals that result in winning sales;
  • Monitors delivery, implementation, and customer satisfaction;
  • Master complex sales processes resulting in highly successful bid decisions, winning strategies, proposals, teaming decisions, and contract closing;
  • Provide sales leadership
  • Deliver timely and comprehensive sales forecasting and reporting:
  • Document sales activity and pipeline development using applicable sales tracking tools;
  • Provide accurate forecasts based on sales management requirements;
  • Maintain networks and relationships to keep abreast of competitors' activities;
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships within the industry;
  • Participate in trade shows/conferences as required.
