Description


The Role: As a member of the People Strategy Branch, you will support the department in building capability, productivity and motivation in staff. As the Learning and Development Officer, your role will primarily be responsible for coordinating a number of learning programs and client groups. Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinating the core skills curriculum for the department, including scheduling and liaising with training providers
  • Manage the program and contract of the Cultural Appreciation Program, diversity training and people based training programs
  • Provide input for departmental briefs, minutes and correspondence, including providing data on programs as required
  • Planning and coordinating programs according to the demand and strategic needs of the department
  • Assisting with set up of scheduled programs and ensuring programs run smoothly
  • Monitor budgets and invoices as required
The Person: You'll be a flexible, creative and energetic team member who shows initiative while being able to work both autonomously and as a part of a team. You're a person who builds and sustains positive relationships with your team members, stakeholders, and clients with ease. You will also have strong attention to detail and a commitment to creating and delivering high-quality work. In addition to your well-developed written and oral communication skills, you will also have experience in a corporate Learning and Development environment. Experience using SAP and other Instructional Design qualifications would be highly desirable.
