Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
  • Understanding of Pharm-Olam proposal, costing tool and other relevant templates and working procedures.
  • Compliance with timelines for feasibility assessments, proposals and budget development.
  • Independently writing proposals in a timely manner considering the customers’ needs and wants, the best recruitment scenarios proposed by Pharm-Olam and delineating division of responsibilities for tasks. This would include large, complex, proposals.
  • Requesting and tracking progress of appropriate feasibility for proposed studies for ongoing RFPs.
  • Reviewing all own proposals leaving the BD department, ensuring they are correct as per the clients expectations. Ensuring all proposals have been through the correct internal QC procedure.
  • Attending the daily and weekly BD teleconferences and giving input where needed.
  • Updating Salesforce.com to reflect opportunity activity on a regular (daily) basis so that accurate information is stored and reports are accurate.
  • Attending in house ongoing training whenever possible.
  • Development and ongoing maintenance of tools to assist in the management of the proposal and budgeting process.
  • Generating re-bids in a timely manner.
  • Attending and contributing to bid defense meetings where relevant.
Working Relationships
  • Report to the Associate Director Proposals US
  • Indirect report to the VP of Client Services
  • Collaborate and liaise with other Client Service team personnel as needed.
  • Collaborate and liaise with Business Development personnel as needed.
  • Collaborate with the ADPMs, PDs, Project Managers and Department Heads as needed.
  • Liaise with clients as needed.
Qualifications Education Requirements and Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years’ experience within a proposals role within the CRO/Pharmaceutical industry with a thorough understanding of the clinical trial processes and proposal strategy.
  • A bachelors degree (or equivalent) in a science, healthcare or business related subject. This requirement may be waived where an exemplary level of experience and/or aptitude exists.
  • Excellent xls skills required as well as excellent written English and the ability to work in a high pressure environment.
