In this role you would be expected to:
  • Own an assigned territory target:
    • Responsible for meeting MedTech & Life Sciences sales targets assigned by the MedTech & Life Sciences Practice Head and Global Director of BD & Consulting
    • Develop and execute winning key account strategies, including account mapping, prospecting and maintaining depth and breadth of insights and knowledge on our key accounts.
    • Gain a deep understanding of key accounts’ priorities, strategies, structure and values.
    • Proactively seek out and pursue new opportunities with existing and new contacts within key accounts in the designated territory. Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to proposal and contracting.
  • Develop winning proposals:
    • Successfully scope out new leads and opportunities, working with the clients requirements to answer their needs with winning proposals
    • Have a strong understanding of research consulting methodologies and be able to understand and present EIU Healthcare’s key capabilities and value propositions to senior client stakeholders.
  • Develop and grow relationships with key accounts:
    • Provides leadership/ oversight and serves as Engagement Manager on the largest projects for key accounts, ensuring we exceed clients’ expectations and drive value to the engagement.
    • Works with clients to take on feedback and continuously improve on clients’ experience and expectations of EIU Healthcare.
    • Become a key partner to key accounts, managing and growing the relationship and ensuring profitable growth for EIU Healthcare.
    • Be an ambassador for The Economist Group, working across business units to leverage group capabilities to deliver on specific client projects or initiatives.
To succeed in the role you must have:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in healthcare business consulting
  • 2+ years in medtech and medical devices, with industry understanding
  • Proven track record in business development, account management and client handling, preferably in the healthcare sector or in business consulting
  • Demonstrated ability in business development and proven success in delivering against a commercial target
  • Bachelor or Masters from top tier universities, preferably Science major
