Key Responsibilities

Expand business: prospecting, opportunity qualification, preparation of presentations and business proposals, negotiation and deal closure
Establish and grow relationships with current and new customers
Cross-functional interaction with Genedata consultancy team, product management, marketing and other functions to identify and build opportunities, sell software and services
Represent the company at conferences, trade shows and networking events

Your Profile

Essential skills and experience:

Minimum of 3 years related business experience in Account Management
Solid scientific or technical background (Master/Diploma level) in biology, bioinformatics, biochemistry, chemistry, engineering, or computer science, paired with an aptitude in software usage
Practical experience in or at least a fundamental understanding of the pharmaceutical research and drug discovery process
Good interpersonal communication skills paired with an aptitude for negotiation and identification of mutually beneficial solutions
Personal integrity, strong initiative and perseverance
Excellent time management - ability to prioritize actions and goals and to successfully progress sales along the sales pipeline
Good presentation abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional preferred skills and experience:

Experience with solution selling and consulting-oriented projects, preferably in the software industry
First-hand knowledge of the bioinformatics software market.
The ideal candidate already has business experience in selling high-value software or IT-related solutions to pharma and biotech companies at the enterprise level, with a proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales goals.
