SELECTED PROJECTS

Built and ran COMSOL simulations of the device to predict energy and flux output

Worked on getdp and gmsh to run magnetic simulations

Worked on Python code to analyze data and generate models of spectra

Ran experiments to better understand the physics of the triboelectric effect

Designed and built a pulse tube closed cycle helium 3 cryostat with large optical access for laser ablation and ellipsometery for helium phase diagram experiments.

Designed and troubleshot the fluid systems within the cryostat

Designed and constructed a cryogenic pulsed laser deposition system which could be used to create any film in cryogenic conditions guaranteeing clean smooth films.

Designed and constructed ellipsometer for measurements of helium films with sublayer resolution.

Designed and worked with optical measurements such as interferometery.

Constructed a cryogenic pressure gauge using a high Q quartz tuning fork with frequencies varying from 32 kHz to 5 MHz.

Mentored and worked with other Ph.D.
