Role Responsibilities
Supports field accounts and field sales via the telephone and other electronic means of Communication
Successfully and routinely precall plans for customer calls by utilizing available reports, leadership direction, and other resources to ensure each and every call is as successful as possible
Ensures customer calls are effectively opened and that product discussions are tailored to the customer’s needs
Identifies leads for the surgical sales force
Maintains expert product and account knowledge by staying current with training and with industry research
Maintains at risk business and identifies and closes opportunities for sales growth in assigned accounts
Use of phone, WebEx, and other digital platforms to complete a sale, identify potential sales opportunities through customer analysis, make product/contract presentations, and/or provide product in servicing to acute care facilities
Analyze account sales, utilization, and trends via Veeva, Tableau, and Ad-Hoc Excel reporting
Maintains a robust and active opportunity funnel in Veeva, by actively using IMS data and other resources
Logs all customer calls in Veeva immediately following the call
Is compliant to all Pfizer policies and procedures
Routinely hits 20 customer calls per day with the goal of reaching new hospital call points
Completes all training requirements on time
Takes an active role in their professional development
The position is located in north suburban Chicago/Lake Forest, IL
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Goal-oriented individual with a strong desire to be in sales; have core skills of customer service orientation, initiative, planning and follow up, work management, and judgment/problem solving
Able to be on telephone up to 6 hours per day and speak clearly and effectively to all assigned customers
Individual must also utilize Pfizer’s core values of integrity, ownership/accountability, speed, and entrepreneurial spirit; no previous sales experience required, but preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year selling experience with successful performance
Strong understanding of Excel and familiar with Tableau and IMS
