Your Responsibilities Job Purpose
  • Through the successful implementation of GSK Internal Control Framework and compliance programs, this role will support Global Ethics and Compliance (GEC) strategy to ensure that the right product gets to the right patient or consumer in the right way.
  • This role moreover supports GSK’s mission to help people do more, feel better and live longer by partnering the senior business leaders to proactively identify and manage risks in accordance with GSK’s Risk Management process and GSK internal control framework which enables sustainable business growth in the respective markets.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support early and proactive identification and management of risks aligning with GSK’s Risk Management process.
  • Ensuring the GSK ICF is effectively established and internal controls are in place.
  • Promoting a value based culture through engagement, communication and training initiatives.
  • Working with business leaders, Global Ethics & Compliance, Audit and Assurance and other support functions to embed a Values-based culture and accountability for compliance within the business in a way that supports the business unit and GSK strategies.
  • Driving accountability throughout the organisation toward greater business transparency and reinforcing trust in GSK from customers, business partners and patients.
  • Partnering with business leaders to support proactive mitigation or risks and prompt responses to issues to appropriately minimise potential impact to GSK.
  • Acting as a change leader for cutting edge practices and standardisation, where appropriate, to simplify the complexity of our practices.
  • In collaboration with the business and other stakeholders, developing and implementing tools which empower our employees to make ethical and compliant decisions.
  • Engage with external parties to promote and defend GSK’s industry ethical lead and shape the external environment
  • Partner with the business to develop and oversee completion of CAPAs resulting from investigations, monitoring activities, audits or inspections.
  • Oversee CIT investigations and manage stakeholders
  • As a key member of RMCB and Country Executive Board, encourage discussion of relevant, significant risks and ensure that issues and conclusions are escalated upwards and consistently across the market.

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or other applicable degree.
  • Experience leading a function or specialist area such as audit or compliance, or significant commercial leadership experience operating at a country level.
  • Expert level knowledge of internal control framework and risk management principles and ability to translate theory into practice.
  • Ability to work effectively and sensitively in a highly matrix organisation across geographies and cultures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and trust around sensitive compliance issues.

  • Master Degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or other applicable degree preferred,
  • Demonstrated significant compliance and/or internal control experience in a global pharmaceutical, related healthcare organisation, or consultancy firm supporting healthcare clients.
  • Preferably qualified in highly regulated areas such as accounting, forensic accounting, audit or compliance;
  • Prior experience is essential in facilitating judgment related decisions and implications of risk within a commercial business
