Position Summary

The Genomics group at Cellarity is looking for a research associate to help us generate data as well as optimize and validate new processes. The candidate will interact with wet lab biologists and bioinformaticians in order to streamline the cells to data workflow. The candidate must be creative, detail and process oriented, have excellent communication skills, and willing to work in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

    • Perform experiments to develop and optimize new single cell NGS assays
    • Effectively document and communicate progress and challenges
    • Familiarity with the operation of sequencers, preferably Illumina
    • Collaborate with scientists across all functions in the company
    • Be flexible and willing to learn new skills as the need arises

Preferred Qualifications

    • BS/MS (or equivalent) in a scientific discipline or engineering field
    • 1 year(s) of relevant experience, preferably in an NGS lab and industry
    • Comfortable with Illumina sequencers and library construction
    • Willingness to troubleshoot technical and scientific issues, both individually and as part of a team
    • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
    • Outstanding communication skills
    • A desire to discover new therapeutics through technological innovation
