The Roles

As our business is growing and we are expanding into new markets, we need experienced lawyers to help support and enable that growth. The lawyers will be Director/ Senior Director level and should preferably be based in the international headquarters.

Acting as the de facto general counsel for a large geographic region (e.g. UK, Ireland and Scandinavia, or Australia);
Guiding central functions such as Market Access, Corporate Communications, Government Affairs and Patient Engagement to ensure they achieve their objectives effectively and appropriately;
Serving as the International subject matter expert in key areas such as competition law and/or regulatory law (including in relation to new technologies);
Supporting expansion into new markets outside the EU and North America by setting up affiliates or working with distributor partners; and
Advising on market access laws and negotiations, pricing and reimbursement, and related PR, government affairs and compliance issues, especially for medicines for rare diseases.
The successful candidates will partner effectively with the broader Legal and Compliance teams, and with internal clients as trusted, reliable and wise business partners.

Minimum Qualifications

Professional Competencies
Qualified lawyer with significant relevant work experience in a law firm and/or a pharmaceutical company (ideally both); and
Fluent in English and at least one other language.
Personal Qualities
High ethical standards and very good legal judgment;
Hands-on problem-solvers with strong business acumen and common sense, who see law as only one of many ways to find solutions and have the ability to question conventional approaches;
Excellent communication and influencing skills, emotional intelligence and a service-oriented attitude;
Ability to manage multiple matters and clients in parallel and provide clear, concise advice in a fast-paced work environment;
Proactive self-starters who are dependable but can set boundaries;
People who strive to continuously learn and grow and help others do the same; and
Team-players who actively work to maintain a trusting and safe work environment among all colleagues.
