RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop strategic short-term and long-term HR plans that support the achievement of company objectives for HQ- and field-based business units. Partner with and coach functional leadership to translate individual business priorities into executable HR initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other HR functions (Recruitment, Total Rewards, HRIS, etc.) as well as corporate functions (ie., Sales Training, Compliance, etc.) to jointly develop and manage an integrated HR strategy.
  • Build effective and strong business relationships with all internal clients. Proactively work with senior leaders to identify HR issues and devise creative solutions.
  • Oversee and give guidance on employee issues including performance management, employee relations, investigations, etc.
  • Establish and execute recruiting plans to meet the workforce needs of Shionogi in both Sales and Headquarters positions.
  • Play an active role in the interviewing and selection of talent for Shionogi Inc.
  • Lead Training and Development efforts for Shionogi Inc. Identify unique opportunities and develop workshops as needed.
  • Partner with Performance Management team on year-end processes.
  • Develop an organizational talent plan for meeting future talent needs. Implement company-wide Talent Review as scheduled.
  • Special Projects, other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • This position will be both a strategic leader and an individual contributor. It may manage 2-3 direct reports.
  • Some travel required; up to 15%.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors’ degree in human resources, business, or a related area. SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification a plus.
  • At least 10 years of human resources professional and managerial experience; Pharmaceutical Industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Subject matter expertise in recruiting, talent management, succession planning or organizational development.
  • Learning & Organizational Development experience.
  • Strong business acumen and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of leadership throughout all functions; ability to articulate clearly and conduct verbal presentations with large and small audiences.
  • Ability to work independently on complex issues and projects.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated Human Resources generalist knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations; experience managing employee relations issues and investigations.
  • Ability to travel via automobile and/or airplane.
  • Must live a commutable distance to our US Corporate Headquarters in Florham Park, NJ.
