Description


Role Responsibilities:  
  • Responsible for independent legal support to our client’s Medical & Marketing functions (including Oncology business unit)
  • Responsible for independent legal support to our client’s Medical & Clinical Operations function
  • Responsible for independent legal support to global functions of Marketing Strategy
  • Responsible for independent legal support to support congress team
  • Expert on legal compliance issues relevant to Marketing & Medical functions
  • Effective leadership of enhancing legal awareness and compliance culture in supported functions
  • Conducts internal and external material review including Corporate communications
  • Manages and resolves marketing and promotional disputes on a pan-European basis with third parties
  • Attends congresses to monitor competitor activity and support the team in case of alleged non-compliant activity
  • Supports internal and external investigations and responds to external agency inspections/audits
  • Supports M&D functions as required including Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Contract Management and Outsourcing
  • Supports regional and global projects that involve complex or difficult issues requiring a high degree of legal skill and business acumen including often difficult judgments on contested areas and issues
  • Contributes to regulatory legal support strategy
  • Establish rapport and a positive working relationship with senior management
  • Reviews, analyses and keeps current on legal developments affecting the pharmaceutical industry and advises clients accordingly
  • Leads and contributes to Global Legal Task Teams
  • Leads and supports strategic projects as required
  • Works closely with Ethics & Compliance team and legal colleagues globally
  • Identifies training needs within client groups and assists in the development and presentation of training on relevant laws and legal/risk/compliance issues
  • Manages outside counsel effectively and efficiently
  • Performs job duties with minimal direction
    Required Experience:  
  • Pharma sector or healthcare industry experience with strong customer focus; in multi-disciplinary, matrix and cross-cultural settings.
  • Law degree: Qualified lawyer with robust evidence of post qualified experience
  • Substantial experience in the legal environment related to marketing and distribution of pharmaceuticals and life cycle management either in corporate law department or law firm
  • Knowledge and understanding of key business, legal and compliance issues within pharma and life science industry
  • Experience in working in multi-functional, cross-cultural teams
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating clinical non-interventional study and ISR agreements
  • Experience in leading legal support in global project teams
