Description
Responsibilities
Leads and develops the Greenville Regional Operations training strategy linked to overall business unit goals
Plans/leads/hosts new hire orientation process and on-boarding programs to ensure employees have a positive experience and are well integrated into the organization
Leads global and local initiatives as well as keeps in close communication with network counterparts for best practice sharing
Coordinates with business leaders, departments and or Subject Matter Experts to support the design and development of training courses and materials that meet business needs
Deploys the use of professional documentation and training development authoring tools to aide in the building of eLearning course content
Conducts and facilitates on-going review of all regulatory and technical training requirements with management to ensure training is completed for all personnel within the site
Works with the quality function, ensures training records and curricula within LMS are maintained and tailored to jobs roles
Attends audits as needed when Training topics should be covered
Ensures multiple training modalities are designed to deliver effective training
Participates in operational excellence and process improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement and innovation of the training process
Leads and motivates team to deliver positive outcomes and achieve assigned objectives
Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs and learning outcomes.
Documents and provides reports on progress of training outcomes to management
Reviews and updates existing training courses and develops new courses in accordance with company procedures
Develops innovative training partnerships with community colleges, universities and local school systems
Requirements
Bachelors degree required.
5-10 years experience designing, developing and implementing professional training programs
10+ years experience in a supervisory role, handling full management responsibilities
Experience in the use of Microsoft suite; Excel, Word, Power-Point
Must have a strong proficiency with Windows 2007 or newer computer operating system
Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with deadlines
Knowledge of Training management, learning and development domain
Able to be creative and self-motivated, in a fast-paced and changing environment
Excellent one-on-one and group presentation and facilitation skills
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Strong speaking and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Strong commitment to customer service
Strong proficiency with computer operating systems and software skills
Solid project and time management skills
Up to 10% travel
Working Conditions
May be required to work independently
Extensive walking may be required.
Depending on area of building, personal protective equipment may be worn to include lab coats, coveralls, hood, facemask, hairnets and/or safety gloves
Some areas require steel toe shoes, bump hats and/or safety glasses
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
