What You'll Do

- Proofread and edit medical/scientific-related websites, scripts, storyboards, print layouts, multimedia presentations, e-learning modules, simulations, e-blasts, mobile applications to ensure correctness, clarity, functionality, and quality
- Perform all levels of editing, including proofreading, copyediting, substantive editing, data verification, fact/reference checking, and compilation
- Collaborate with copywriters and other team members to ensure deliverables are of the highest possible quality in terms of scientific content, organization, clarity, accuracy, format, and consistency
- Confirm adherence to client copy styles/brand voice/language/product guidelines; monitor client brand standards and create/maintain in-house style “cheat sheets” as needed
- Five-plus years of experience as editor/quality coordinator (agency setting is ideal)
- Strong pharma/medical background (pharma agency or health industry experience is required)
- Knowledge and experience with high science/black box pharma advertising communications
- AMA style expertise and thorough understanding of FDA regulations (OPDP guidelines) for promotional advertising
- Exceptional writing, proofreading, communication, researching, and referencing skills, with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, and to prioritize those tasks, while handling multiple, changing deadlines
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and thrive in a high-pressure team environment with aggressive deadlines
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, web browsers (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari), Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Keynote
- Relevant experience ensuring the quality of multimedia programs
- Relevant experience using databases a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in English, a related subject field, or equivalent work experience
