Essential Responsibilities
  • As a strategic partner, the Sr. Human Resources Manager serves as a consultant to leadership and shareowners on Human Resource related issues.
  • Act as the HR advisor to executive and senior leadership, recommending the most appropriate best practices for HR.
  • Act as employee champion and change agent while assessing and anticipating HR-related needs.
  • Seek to develop integrated solutions by communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business leaders.
  • Partner closely with HR COE’s (compensation, talent management, benefits) to drive annual HR projects and processes.
  • Compile, interpret and present metrics on the effectiveness of programs and insight into areas of improvement and design solutions.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit org design, restructures, workforce planning, succession planning.
  • Identify training and development needs for business groups, as well as individual executive coaching needs.
  • Integrate company values and principles into HR processes such as performance management, shareowner development, and selection processes.
  • Align with business leaders and internal talent acquisition team to design recruiting needs and strategies. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of various recruiting methods; recommend changes as needed.
  • Develop and interpret HR policies and procedures and ensure that all HR practices are in full compliance.
  • Monitor market fluctuation and recommend adjustments to salary and wages ranges. Research and recommend adjustments to salary and wages in conjunction with the compensation team.
  • Maintain positive employee relations.
  • Mediate employee related workplace disputes.
  • Counsel Managers on how to provide effective feedback and corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree required in HR or a business related field
    • Ten years of broad-based human resources experience.
    • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws. Strong understanding of and demonstrate skill in Human Resource Management, leadership, change management, and communications.
    • Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to build effective business relationships
    • Ability to solve and interpret complex problems, collect and analyze complicated data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
    • Proficient and accurate with word processing (Word), intermediate Excel experience with charting, graphs and large data sets. Experience working with HRIS systems required. Competency in navigating the Internet to conduct research.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, company policy, and procedure manuals. Ability to write business reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and influence groups of customers, employees, and management of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in med device, pharmaceutical or related industry highly preferred.
  • Strategic thinker comfortable giving consultative advice to senior leaders
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully drive initiatives in a matrix environment and work at all levels of the organization
  • Prior experience and exposure to leading
  • Master’s degree; or a PhD preferred.
