Job Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation of executive management financial reports and consolidation of global financial results.
  • Analyze sales performance by market and product type;
  • Prepare commentaries on key financial drivers;
  • Prepare reports analyzing key line items on the income statement and balance sheet
  • Perform complex month end analyses of business activities to identify issues and drivers. Develop charts for visual presentation of financial performance.
  • Provide analytical support for ad hoc business reviews and initiatives. Develop business/financial models for short/long term forecasts for executive review.
  • Develop scenario analyses to support executive decision making;
  • Create complex financial models by collecting data from other business units;
  • Develop sales and margin forecasts by incorporating product lunch estimates and assumptions.
  • Support the annual budget cycle from data collection/validation to scenario analysis and creation of report packs for executive review.
  • Work with cost center owners in the development of their budgets
  • Validate the accuracy of data in SAP
  • Develop reports and analyses to effectively explain the roll up of the budget and key drivers
  • Manage budget timelines with budget owners to ensure information is received to allow for analysis and review.
  • Work with other Finance staff and senior management to accomplish timelines, address issues and pursue process improvements.
  • Work with Finance colleagues to prepare reports and validate SAP entries for monthly financial reporting cycle
  • Work with all levels of management to resolve issues and answer questions
  • Work on champion changes in SAP and other reporting tools to improve quality of financial reporting
  • Support the design, development and delivery of new global reporting methodologies and business processes.
  • Work with global business units to improve quality of financial reporting data
  • Develop reports to capture global financial activity
Job Requirements: Education
  • University degree specializing in Finance, CPA required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • 5-7 years business/financial analysis experience (pharmaceutical/ Manufacturing experience an asset)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Exposure to consolidated financial statements required
  • Strict attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to present concepts at all levels in an organization, particularly at the senior management level
  • Strong ability to anticipate management information requirements
  • Able to work independently in a proactive manner
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Advanced technical proficiency in all aspects in Excel,Access and PowerPoint
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in an SAP environment and in managing complex reporting systems.
