POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the Strategic Meeting Management, responsible for managing the company’s meetings, conventions and events. Responsibilities also include acting as liaison to internal and external customers, managing all logistical aspects of meeting. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Solutions AnalysisAnalyzes specified problems and issues to find the best technical and/or professional solutions. Policy Development & ImplementationDevelops procedures for area of expertise with guidance from senior colleagues, then monitors implementation of those procedures within the organization. Operational ManagementProvides operational support services and sometimes acts as first-line supervisors of a transactional operations area while using existing systems and protocols. Logistics / ArrangementsArranges venues, equipment, catering, accommodation and travel for complex events involving multiple participants arriving from various locations. Leadership and DirectionDelivers outcomes by managing others and working within established systems. Building CapabilityBuilds own capabilities and develops the capabilities of direct reports by working within existing development framework; provides specialized training or coaching in area of expertise to others throughout the organization. Budgeting & CostingTakes responsibility for delivering a prescribed budget for own area of the organization and/or conducts complex analyses on budget progress in other areas while working within established systems. Client & Customer Management (External)Manages relationships with small clients to ensure their needs are met while supporting senior colleagues in managing more important client and customer relationships. Contract ManagementManages and delivers required outcomes for a portfolio of contracts and negotiates service level agreements while planning, coordinating and supervising activities related to major contracts. External CommunicationsDevelops and/or delivers a plan for significant aspects of external communications with guidance from senior colleagues. What your background should look like (minimum qualifications) EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: General EducationUniversity (First degree) MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level.
