Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
  • Participate in developing and implementing HR initiatives and policies
  • Anticipate talent related issues and develop solutions by understanding the business, its strategy and financial position
  • Guide senior and line management, providing HR mentorship
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Handle and resolve complex labor relations issues; conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance, partner with the legal department as needed
  • Conduct job analysis, develop & maintain position descriptions, pay audits, assess merit increases and price hiring ranges
  • Identify training needs for employees and coaching for senior leaders
Qualifications Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree or relevant industry experience and 7+ years of related work experience Other Required
  • 10 years HR experience to include a minimum of 7 years in a HRBP or HR Director role, including general knowledge of the principles and practices of human resource administration; knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of human resource management
  • Compensation design and implementation
  • HR staff management
  • Experienced with working directly with business leadership
  • Experience with one or more HR systems; performance, HRIS, Recognition, Onboarding and recruiting (e.g., Halogen, Success Factors, etc.)
  • Experience project management experience (e.g, HRIS implementation, performance management process implementation, compensation program implementation)
  • Demonstrable ability to provide mentorship and counseling at both management and non-management levels
  • Experience with MS Office tools (Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook)
Preferred
  • Meaningful HR experience serving an organization in growth mode for 100 – 500 employees
  • Advertising agency industry and or client facing/billable hours professional services environment
  • Degree in HR Management
  • Knowledge of U.S., employment laws; particularly CA labor laws
  • Experience with market pricing tools and surveys (e.g., PayScale, ERI, etc.)
  • HR metric design, analysis and action planing (e.g. turnover, retention, etc.)
