Partner closely with UGT team in Boston to align on key program priorities and to provide commercial insight into critical program decisions
Develop a prelaunch/launch strategy in collaboration with regional commercial teams and execute a best in class global launch
Together with the regional market access teams, defines the global pricing strategy.
Together with regional commercial and medical teams, develop one year and longer term brand strategies that include market access, medical/marketing and life cycle management
Lead the Global Franchise Team (strategic cross functional/international teams focusing on Commercial and supporting Medical Affairs initiatives
Support Country/Region/worldwide market penetration efforts through: sharing lessons, experiences and best practice
Identify trends, opportunities and threats (worldwide and in key local markets) and propose corresponding measures
Coordinate the communication of product-related information across the organization
Participates as a key stakeholder in the forecasting process, owned by the regions and supported by the finance team.
Leads and develops direct reports as applicable.
Technical Requirements & Skills
Either Boston or San Francisco Bay Area based
At least 10 years of health-care operational marketing / product management experience (including country-level product management). Experience in rare diseases is preferred
BS degree in Medicine, Natural or Pharmaceutical Sciences. An advanced degree in science and/or business is a plus (e.g., MD, Pharm. D., PhD., MBA)
Strong science and business background
Demonstrated effectiveness in pharmaceutical or biotechnology marketing, product management or strategy role including participating in market analysis, planning and new product development
Launch experience with new products or major line extensions
Pharmaceutical sales experience
Ability to work with Medical experts
Comfortable rapidly switching between complex science and commercial concepts, with an ability to bridge between them and build common understanding amongst people on either side
Proven ability to collaborate, operate and influence cross-functionally and cross-culturally
Proven leadership ability, with strong analytical, strategic thinking and project management skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to build relationships and guide teams from multiple functional areas including R&D, Sales, Program Management and Manufacturing

Understanding of inborn errors of metabolism, neuromuscular disorders, or bone disease preferred
Knowledge of genetic sequencing, enzyme replacement products, or monoclonal antibody products is a plus
Up to 25% travel (international and domestic)
