Description


Key Responsibilities
    • Conduct and validate cell-based assays and in vivo models of disease.
    • Test data-driven hypotheses focused on lineage specification and cell fate decisions.
    • Perform time sensitive experiments under the direction of a Senior Scientist.
    • The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to design, plan and execute experiments that support research activities, project goals and platform development.
    • Serve as a key contributor to the development of new technologies.
Basic Qualifications
    • BS or MS cell biology related field, such as biochemistry, immunology, stem cell biology and 3+ years bio-pharmaceutical industry experience.
    • Experience with characterization and/or differentiation of cells from human and animal tissues, specifically hematopoietic stem cells, and immune cells.
    • Extensive experience with mammalian cell culture and including primary human cells, and co-culture systems.
    • Expertise with cell-based and molecular biology assays with a variety of readout technologies, such as, but not limited to: ddPCR, qPCR, ELISA, and immunofluorescence.
    • Ability to work independently, generate reliable data and skillfully analyzing the data.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information in a clear and thorough manner.
    • Highly motivated and excited about biological discovery and assay development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven hands-on experience with multi-color flow cytometry and cell sorting.
  • Working knowledge of genome modulations techniques including CRISPR-Cas9, RNAi, and/or use of AAV- and lentiviral vectors.
  • Prior experience with animal handling, injections and tissue collection.
