Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and execution professional relations plans across selected healthcare brands in the RB portfolio, acting as healthcare liaison responsible for identifying and developing strategic relationships and partnerships with KOLs, professional bodies and relevant organisations.
  • Attend key healthcare meetings and conferences and manage events where KOLs participate on RB’s behalf such as symposia and advisory board meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with the brand marketing teams in the development of healthcare professional marketing strategy and plans.
  • Deliver appropriate marketing tools and materials to drive growth in selected healthcare products and work closely with field sales to support the execution of professional relations plans.
  • Effectively manage the professional relations budget to deliver the professional relations plan.
  • Liaise with global category teams to ensure alignment with global professional relations strategy
  • Monitor relevant legislation, medical issues, trends and guidelines in the UK and identify and manage risks and opportunities.
  • Develop necessary Standard Operating Processes for professional relations within RB, working with relevant stakeholders.
Professional Skills and Competencies:
  • Sound experience and knowledge of the UK healthcare industry and NHS, ideally having worked previously with practicing Health Care Professionals.
  • Ability to build good internal and external working relationships and challenge constructively and confidently with demonstrable professional or external relations experience gained ideally in healthcare and/or pharmaceutical markets as well as previous experience of KOL development and management preferably within the Primary Care sector.
  • Ability to think strategically to identify synergies between groups of individuals and organisations.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with ability to develop strategies, tactics and measurable implementation in line with opportunities and changes within the market
  • Knowledge of relevant healthcare practices, codes of conduct, policies and how these impact marketing plans
  • Insightful, with the ability to consolidate complex information, interpret & construct straightforward plans and work on complex projects with a good understanding of scientific medical terminology.
