Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Drives the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that align with the business priorities and goals of Sensient.
  • Translates near and long-term operating goals into HR processes, projects, and assignments and integrates and initiates the work with key stakeholders and functional partners to ensure appropriate solutions are delivered to support business strategies.
  • Counsels plant management on work force utilization, turnover control, compensation, performance evaluation and other personnel related matters. Ensures consistent application of policies in accordance with site handbook.
  • Develops and drives people engagement strategies that foster an environment where all employees are respected and valued. Directs employee relations and development activities. Provides counsel and training to managers and supervisors regarding positive employee relations and engagement efforts.
  • Assures plant compliance with regulatory bodies on labor related issues.
  • Advises management of potential problem areas and recommends / implements solutions as appropriate.
  • Assists the leadership team in evaluating performance of individual team members and providing guidance regarding development. Ensures people have the right skills, tools and talents to perform their roles.
  • Executes a lifecycle approach to talent management focused on forecasting, staffing, on-boarding, development, performance management, career / succession planning, talent movement and retention, leveraging workforce analytics and insights.
  • Serves as a coach and consultant to business leaders and employees on key organizational and management issues.
  • Coach business leaders on HR policies and processes, including talent planning, learning and development, and performance management to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development.
  • Work with Corporate Legal team to respond to and resolve all formal charges & complaints from regulatory agencies, and ensure compliance requirements are achieved and maintained.
Education & Experience
  • Ideally 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Management experience in leading a remote workforce in a mulit-site environment in the UK and across Europe.
  • Extensive knowledge of UK wage and labor law. Labor law knowledge & experience outside of UK is highly desired.
  • Knowledge and experience in EU hour laws and payroll administration preferred
  • Full business fluency in English. Ability to communicate in French or Dutch is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage HR strategy, leadership, organizational development and change management.
  • Employee relations, staffing, and performance management and experience overseeing the HR function in a multi-site environment, including sites where employees may be located remotely.
  • Good understanding of the Anglo-American business environment.

  • Demonstrated bias toward action, with a focus on getting things done and making things happen
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment are critical.
  • Strong computer skills with e xperience with MS Office Suite, HRIS software.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
