Job Description
Execute cross-divisional Clinical Development strategies and tactics ensuring strategic alignment. 2. Deliver successful clinical trial across Therapeutic Areas (TA) and manage complex situa-tions with medical experts /investigators. 3. Represent Medical in the franchise leadership team to secure impactful medical input in Integrated Product Strategies. 4. Lead development of the long-term Franchise medical strategy for the country. 5. Translate strategy into an operational Medical Plan. 6. Lead local studies and Medical Affairs activities, co-leading brand strategies and driving Phase IV Medical Affairs activities to achieve franchise strategic imperatives. 7. Ensure effective communication of new and existing data, medical insights and team objectives / priorities to Global, Region and across the CPO. 8. Act as a sponsor and contributor to relevant local and Global business initiatives. 9. Manage resources as appropriate to address business needs, ensuring adherence to financial and headcount targets for Medical Affairs in the country. 10. Maintain and drive the standards of medical and scientific excellence in the country cross-divisionally through recruitment, training, deployment and technical development of associates. 11. Review and approve performance objectives, tracks performance and quality metrics and conducts performance appraisals. - Ethics and Compliance Work within any given legal framework, Novartis Ethics and Compliance policies and en-sure those around him/her do the same. Work to ensure a diverse and inclusive environment, free from all forms of discrimination and harassment. Ensure reporting and follow up of all spontaneous adverse events (AE) and technical complaints for all Novartis products according to respective SOP
Minimum Requirements

MD or PhD degree in health sciences required English Fluency Typically would have more than 5 years of successful managerial experience in the pharmaceutical industry 2. State-of-the-art medical, scientific and clinical knowledge across General Medicine, encompassing business strategies and market trends. 3. Superior leadership skills, including demonstrated ability to effectively lead and coach scientific/medical professionals. 4. Excellent contacts to KOLs and influencers. 5. Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
